This page explains what personal data FiscalWiki collects, why we collect it, who handles it for us and what choices you have. Last updated: 14 October 2026.
The data controller for fiscalwiki.com is FX MEDIA AS, organisation number 930 724 548, Norway. Questions or requests about your personal data can be sent to info@fx-media.no.
Newsletter sign-up. If you subscribe to the newsletter in the site footer, we store your email address together with the time of sign-up and the form it came from. We use it only to send you our newsletter. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)). We keep your address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Analytics (only with your consent). If you click "Accept" in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages are visited, how visitors arrive and roughly where they are. Nothing is loaded from Google Analytics until you accept. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)).
Technical data needed to serve the site. Like any website, the servers that deliver our pages and content receive your IP address and basic browser information when you visit. This is necessary to show you the site and to keep it secure (our legitimate interest, GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors (only after consent) | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your session (only after consent) | Up to 2 years |
| fw-cookie-consent | FiscalWiki (local storage) | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics | Until you clear it or change your choice |
Site editors who log in to the admin area also get a login session stored in their browser's local storage. Regular visitors never log in.
You can withdraw or change your analytics consent at any time. Withdrawing removes the Google Analytics cookies and stops further tracking.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing that took place before.
To use any of these rights, email info@fx-media.no. We will reply within one month.
If you believe we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) at datatilsynet.no, or to the data protection authority where you live.
We update this page when the way we handle data changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
